Working to improve the social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in Cornwall
For parents and carers

Parents and Carers Series

HeadStart Kernow and Public Health Cornwall have been working together to host our hugely popular Parent, Carer Series.

Each series is focused on a particular theme. The first series came together during the pandemic to support the Emotional Health and Wellbeing of families.

Series 2 launching on Monday 1st July sees a focus on the world of education.

Headstart Kernow, Public Health and the subject area experts supporting each series recognise the importance of parents and carers as key stakeholders in maintaining the health and wellbeing of their children and young people. As we continue to make concerted efforts to ensure that children and young people are provided with information, experiences and resources to help them make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. We believe it is crucial that parents and carers are also made aware of this learning, understand the support available and feel confident to constrictively engage in conversations that are fundamental to their child’s wellbeing.

This initiative is dedicated to expanding our collective understanding in the everchanging world of parenting. Our sessions aim to inform, raise awareness of services and support and promote constructive, informed conversations. These sessions are recorded and available here the day after their live launch.
